Cory, Mandela of Asia

Former Philippine President Corazon “Cory” Aquino is dead.

As the sole icon of democracy in modern Philippine history, Cory’s graceful and peaceful death galvanizes and mobilizes the courageous commitment and righteous idealism of the Filipinos to save, protect and preserve Philippine democracy from the greed and craving for power, position, and wealth on the part of the illegitimate and much-hated Philippine Pres. Gloria Arroyo and her despicable clique of corrupt and violent generals, subservient and intellectually blind cabinet technocrats, and voracious and exploitative economic oligarchs.

Unless Pres. Arroyo relinquishes power next year, when her term ends as commanded by to the 1987 Philippine Constitution, she will face the direct and frontal wrath of the Filipinos through another EDSA Revolution and suffer the very same shameful and heinous fate of the late Philippine dictator Ferdinand Marcos in 1986.

Cory is the Mandela of Asia.

Suffering in silence for many years and with great moral courage and truly unshakeable faith in the Truth, Natural Law, and Natural Justice, Cory rallied the Filipinos to ultimately dismantle and destroy the blood-stained armada and torture-hungry tentacles of the obnoxious Marcos dictatorship that violently killed not only her selfless husband and Philippine national hero Sen. Ninoy Aquino in 1983 but, more importantly, the infant and fragile Philippine democracy of the 1970s.

Dismantle and destroy, the Filipinos did in 1986 at EDSA I. And without blood, at that. For which I credit Cory as the Mandela of Asia.

To Cory, I say: You are now on your way to the divine world, the realm of the gods and angels, whose level of wisdom and enlightenment is very much higher and developed than what we, human beings, now possess. From the divine realm, radiate to us your love and wisdom, guide and inspire your freedom-loving people to continue to cherish, assert and fight for Truth, Justice and Freedom, and help us to destroy forever the evils of greed, hate, and ignorance that bind us and our misguided and deluded leaders to the never-ending cycle of slavery and suffering.
